Holiday Homestretch

I can't believe we have one remaining weekend before Christmas!  During this manic time, I always hope to be able to step back and enjoy the magic of the season and indulge myself in all the childhood nostalgia that Christmas brings.  We have another 10 days to sing along to our favourite carols; to feel entitled to gorge on copious amounts of sugar with abandon; to find crazy downpours of snow in the city enchanting; to have pictures taken in front of large trees, and most importantly, to GIVE.  It's cheesy and oh yeah, I love it!

 

Enduring the first snowstorms of the Winter, NYC has been freezing!  We're still better off than other parts of the country.  We know how to make warm and cosy look cute!

Let's Hear It For The Boys!

Temperatures have dropped again in NYC this week, and I think this time it's for real! Naturally, my focus these days is on fabulous cold-weather accessories.  This time though, I am excited to feature my favourite picks for the guys. Even though most of the accessories I favour tend to be for, well, me, I appreciate a well-accessorized man more than anyone!  So, here are a couple of things for the dudes out there!

 Basket-weave Grey Driver and our Bi-Coloured Neck Ring - this new silhouette for scarves is also known as the eternity scarf and has to be my favourite! 

Top Row: Men's Stretch Fleece Touch Gloves and the Belted Touch Gloves are my favourite gloves for men!  With the special 'Touch' fabric, they keep your hands warm and allow you to type and text away on your favourite touch screen phones, iPads and other devices!

Bottom Row: Distressed Leather Gloves are for the biker in you.  Made of sheepskin, these gloves have a great grip, are extremely warm and very masculine!  Whereas the Pop-Top Gloves are for those who want to have their cake and eat it too.  If you can't decide if you want a full glove or go fingerless, these are for you.  Also great for easily accessing touch screen devices without having to pull your whole glove off.

Stubby Fedora and the Driver have to be my favourite shapes for men.  Classic and stylish!

They're Back...But Not For Long!

One of my absolute favourite accessories is back and even better!  Last Fall/Winter, I introduced the 'Touch' glove.  A wonderfully flexible glove designed to keep your hands warm while you keep in touch!  The forefinger and thumb has a special ELink fabric which allows precise interaction with your iPhone, iPad, iPod and any other touch sensitive digital devices.  I have a pair myself and can personally testify that they work as well as your bare fingers - it really is quite remarkable.  Last year, these gloves sold out immediately.  This year, we have a wider range of styles, prettier colours and they are going fast!  As it gets colder, keep an eye out as we will be receiving more Touch glove styles not just for women but for men too!

Cold Comfort

The temperature is dropping but not so much so that you have to cover your cute self up in a shapeless, puffy duvet with sleeves and a zipper yet. It's the cozy season and the perfect time to wrap yourself up in comforting knits.  Let's get warm and woolly!

The Best Winter Gloves!

We will now be able to do something we were never able to before in frosty, low, Winter temperatures...text, twitter and e-mail while keeping our fingers warm!  Ingenious!  The Touch glove has material built-in at the tips of the forefinger and the thumb which creates friction perfect for use on iPhones, iPods and other mobile digital devices with touch sensitive screens.  I tried them on and was AMAZED!  The gloves type so precisely, you really have to try it to believe it.  

But not only do they work, they look and feel so good on.  They are made of a wool-blend that is deceitfully warm for how thin and flexible the fabric is for ease of movement of the fingers.  These are the perfect blend of good-taste and great function.  A true must-have this Winter for the modern gal!
